Underwood Law Library, School of Law, Southern Methodist University Dallas, Texas The Southern Methodist University School of Law required that the Underwood Law Library building be absolutely contemporary in design and detail, but compatible with the collegiate Georgian architecture of the university campus. The new 63,000 square foot building was designed to house the 130,000 volume library, supply space for projected acquisitions for a thirty year period, and provide reading rooms, carrel space and classroom space.
