Texas Instruments
Dallas, Texas

Since 1985, our firm has provided an extraordinary range of professional service to Texas Instruments Corporate Facilities Organization. The services performed range the entire scope of professional services including site planning, feasibility studies, programming, architectural design, interior design, space planning, furniture design, accessibility evaluations and modification for compliance with ADA/TAS, graphics, education and training facilities, incorporation of and design for audio visual systems in various environments in the work place, computer environments, ergonomic design, and a myriad of other issues. Project scope and scale range from a few hours of consulting to complete responsibility for projects and project teams with budgets up to eighteen million dollars. Representative projects include:

Digital Imaging Systems Center, Dallas, Texas

The firm acted as prime to coordinate the consultant team, for the design of a marketing center including five theaters of varying types and sizes for new product introduction. The project was fast tracked, with only five months from conception to completion of construction. Booziotis & Company was responsible for programming and planning the facility for five functionally independent organizations with no prior facility development experience, and coordinating a team of consultants including other architects (Madison R Graham Architects in Austin), engineers, lighting, acoustical, audio visual, landscape and cost control/constructability consultants.

Forest Lane Semi-Conductor Headquarters, Dallas, Texas

Conversion of an existing light manufacturing facility into a high-technology computer based research and design facility. Booziotis & Company lead the design team in determining the feasibility and viability of the proposed project for the building environment and participated in site planning, space planning and development of interior space planning standards, conceptual and detailed design for high visibility areas including public lobbies, training, and conferencing areas, food service areas, and common facilities, including exterior break areas and site landscaping.

Texas Instruments Corporate Offices, Dallas, Texas

The most recent work at the Forest Lane Facility includes relocating the corporate headquarters/executive areas from Booziotis & Company designed space at another site, to new offices more expressive of the changed personality and direction of the company. The new corporate offices included development of the Board Room, management conference areas, food service and offices for the top corporate officers. The project included selection of furniture, and the design of a number of custom furniture items including the board table.

Park Central Complex

Booziotis & Company provided a Master Plan for further development of an existing 500,000 sf office complex occupied by Texas Instruments. The design provided for the addition of 350,000 sf of administrative office space and the construction of a 40,000 sf cafeteria building. The cafeteria building was designed to also serve as an efficient circulation link for both personnel and material movement between two existing office buildings that have different floor to floor heights. Due to changes in the market economy, project construction has been placed on hold.

Booziotis & Company Architects began in the mid 1980's a relationship with Texas Instruments Corporation for various interior renovation and additions that has covered over 500 projects ranging from restroom renovation, to food service, to public lobbies and marketing centers, the master planning and retrofit of entire buildings from one use type to another.

These projects were mostly completed while TI was a DOD vendor, and for security purposes, specific project data was not allowed to be published, and sometimes was not made entirely available even to the project team.

Among these were the following relevant projects:

Renovations to the North Building Cafeteria

Update of food service concept that included reorganization of serving lines, new finishes, subdivision of 5000 sf plus dining space into more intimate seating areas, introduction of new restroom facilities.

Renovation of Semi Conductor Cafeteria

Introduction of new food service concept noted above to TI's largest dining facility capable of serving almost 3000 employees.

Renovation of Floyd Road Cafeteria

Design Consultation with Others for the East Building Cafeteria
New Construction for 800 seat facility.

Renovation of Park Central Facility Café

Renovation of "Center II" Building Food service to expand food service to the entire first floor of a free standing office building, with food service split into two dining rooms on either side of a central building lobby.

Renovation of the Forest Lane Cafeteria

With the conversion of Forest Lane to Corporate Headquarters, the cafeteria was upgraded for the new food service concept, but designed on multiple levels to provide site lines for viewing a head table and media presentations. Seating for about 800 diners. Renovated while fully operational.
